He has spoken at numerous industry events, including AGS Conclave, the Independent Jewelers Organization (IJO) and Retail Jewelers Organization (RJO) shows, and the Smart Jewelry Show. He is a frequent contributor to trade magazines and is a board member for the Jewelers Board of Trade (JBT). Pritesh Patel (Chief Operating Officer @Gemological Institute of America (GIA)) Pritesh Patel, senior vice president and chief operating officer at the Gemological Institute of America (GIA), has over 25 years of corporate-level leadership experience and an extensive background in information technology (IT). Before joining the GIA, Patel was vice president of information technology at Circor International, a global manufacturer of highly engineered products in the energy, aerospace, industrial, defense and power-generation markets. Patel received his MBA from the University of Southern California (USC) Marshall School of Business. David Block (CEO @Sarine Technologies) Over the last 20 years at Sarine, David has played an instrumental role in the initiation, development and introduction of many of the revolutionary innovations the Group has brought to the diamond industry.
